FLUTTER KICK WITH POINTY & FLOPPY TOES
Pointy and floppy feet Kick plays major role in body balance. Swimmer should point their toes always, this will reduce the drag and help you to swim faster. And if you don’t point your toes, no matter how good catch you got it will still slow you down. If you kick without pointing your toes actually you will push the water forwards which means your arms and feet working for opposite direction and then most Common question will come in your mind, Coach “ WHY I’M TOO SLOW”ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ Kick from the hip: In good flutter kick the legs are straight while swimmer is kicking from the hips with slight bend(very little) in the knees with flexible ankles. Many swimmers bend their knees too much and kicking from the knees. This creates large amounts of drag and is probably the number one reason for a swimmer's legs to sink down in the water(second reason is head position).
